THE BRAKING WAVE BRAKE DISC
When you hear the term “wave brake disc”, you can’t help but think of the Italian brand “Braking”.
This is because in 1999 the Italian brake manufacturer was the first to introduce a completely new design of motorbike brake discs.
Performance & Durability
From then on, the BRAKING Wave brake disc replaced the cast brake disc, which was considered the non-plus-ultra at the time. Braking had succeeded in outshining all other racing brake discs in terms of performance and durability by using a special stainless steel alloy in combination with the new Wave design.
After the expiry of Braking’s patented design, several brake disc suppliers jumped on the bandwagon of waved brake discs due to the advantages of the Wave design. However, many of these available brake discs in the so-called “Wave” design are more for visual effect and do not produce any increase in performance or higher reliability of the brake system. Therefore, it is not surprising that Braking has continuously developed the design of the Wave brake disc over time and adapted it to the requirements of modern motorbikes.
Technology pacemaker
Through close cooperation with many of the world’s leading racing teams (no sponsoring, but genuine cooperation), Braking has risen to become the technological pacesetter when it comes to racing brake discs.
