Faster and better self-cleaning of the brake discs
The wave shape of the brake disc prevents the brake pads from sealing due to deposits and dirt and increases the cleaning process (self-cleaning process) of the brake disc and pads. With each rotation of the wheel, the outer shaft rim of the disc removes the dirt from the surface of the pads. As a result, the brake pad is always in optimum contact with the brake disc.

More stable braking performance thanks to better heat dissipation
The brake disc heats up considerably during frequent, heavy, repetitive braking manoeuvres (racetrack or hairpin bends). Due to the more wavy shape of the brake disc, the disc has a larger outer surface area and can also radiate more heat via this larger surface area. This allows the operating temperature to be kept well below the usual values for normal, round brake discs. The result: less heat = consistently more braking power!

Consistent braking effect
Thanks to the special steel alloy, Braking discs achieve very good performance even when cold. But even under extreme heat conditions, the brake disc always remains very easy to control, making the bike easier to handle.

Lower weight compared to round brake discs
Due to the radical recesses in the aluminium inner rim (brake disc rotor rim) and the ventilation recesses in the running surface, the brake discs are lighter; The weight of the Braking Wave brake disc is lower than that of a standard round brake disc – without any loss of stability or durability.
